Biography
Ozge Yenigun is currently a PhD Candidate in Urban and Regional Planning with a graduate minor in European Union Studies at UIUC. She graduated with a B.Sc. in City and Regional Planning from the Middle East Technical University in 2012 and received a M.Sc. Degree in Regional Planning from the Middle East Technical University in 2015. Her research focuses on equitable and inclusive forms of economic development and the urban experiences of immigrants in cities. Her doctoral dissertation examines the economic inclusion of refugees in German cities and investigates how policies, local institutions, and civil society shape refugees’ employment experiences.
